Serving distinguished guests, from royalty to celebrities, has been a learning experience for 'veteran' Dawa Tshering Lepcha who has been in our service for 50 years now. He still takes much pride in being ready with a pot of hot Darjeeling tea, even before you realize how much you needed it. Like Dawa, every burnished card table and every polished brass plaque is an accomplished raconteur and the history adds to the secret charm of the hotel. In fact, indulging in our hospitality is like taking a refreshing splash of water from the cool Teesta.
