Of all the paths you take in life, make sure some of them are dirt and some take you down the river.
The sparkling mountain rivers such as Teesta and Rangeet offer enthusiasts the thrill of white water rafting. People can also explore these streams while Kayaking. There are well established trek routes of Sandakphu and Phalut which draw trekkers from all across the globe. If you wish to fly like a bird, you can book any of the paragliding operators in the city. The panoramic view of the Himalayas will simply leave you captivated.
“The only trek in our country where you see four of the highest mountains in the world.”
Sandakphu, the highest point sitting on the border of two countries, is one of them. Sandakphu is the highest peak, both in the state of West Bengal and Mechi in Nepal. Standing at the Sandakphu peak, on your left, you see the Everest cluster. There is Lhotse and Makalu, the fourth and fifth highest peaks in the world, trying to outdo the world’s tallest peak. Then, there is Everest, effortlessly towering over everything.
With the infrastructure development by the GTA the fun and adventure will be waiting for you when you arrive in the North East along with all the precautions and safety.
