Overview

The Elgin Kintore Arms is a 150 year-old Hotel representing a sophisticated example of classic Victorian Architecture. This heritage hotel lies on the spine of ruined castles, a majestic ocean, the glorious river Don and its tributary Ury. It is located in the vintage town of Inverurie which is known in popular parlance as the “home away from home”. As you enter the significant Baroque style town of Inverurie, the hotel welcomes you with fresh sea food, neat Scotch whiskey and a beautiful Scottish countryside view making you feel comfortable and blissful.

This heritage hotel was built around 1855 by a Scottish architect William Ramage. He was an active architect that shaped Aberdeen in mid 19th century. Episcopal Church, the wall cladded garden and the North Lodge at Keith Hall are the famous landmarks of his career. The original design included 27 pristine guest rooms, an old-fashioned fire place, an attic and a Roman Doric Porch. The hotel had been refurbished to include cosy family rooms, bridal suites, non-smoking areas and also has ample parking spaces. The interiors have teak furniture, candle lit dine-in, a sizzling fireside and a Scottish pub. The hotel is in the historic Inverurie Town and offers easy access to nearby Aberdeen Shire countryside attractions.

Aberdeen Shire is a rich cultural locale that attracts tourists for almost 8 months a year. The famous East Aquhorthies Stone Circle (3.4 mil approx.) is a perfect exploration site. The landmarked and famous Balmora Castle, which was owned by Queen Elizabeth II, is an hour drive from the hotel. One can also take a scenic walk to the world famous Gaorich Heritage Centre which is within easy reach from the hotel. The Kilted Frog is a famous cafe that offers juiciest steak and best latte of the town. Potters Kitchen is the renowned restaurant that serves specialized vegan as well as gluten free food. A warm furnace, a snug dining, well stocked library, Scottish bars, vast grasslands, historical gothic castles and a majestic ocean around is a perfect runaway for your next holiday destination.
